About Al-Buraq Academy

Built for families who don't speak Arabic at home

We started Al-Buraq because too many parents were stuck choosing between a low-cost teacher they couldn't understand, or no structured Arabic and Quran education at all.

Why we exist

Most online Quran and Arabic academies are built by and for Arabic-speaking families. That works well when a parent already reads Arabic and can guide their child at home. It works poorly for the growing number of families raising Muslim children in English-speaking households, where neither the parent nor the child speaks Arabic fluently.

Al-Buraq Academy was built specifically for that second group. Every teacher is screened for clear, fluent English before they ever teach a class, and every family receives a written safeguarding policy before enrollment, not after asking for one.

We're not trying to be the cheapest option. We're trying to be the option a parent trusts without needing to double-check every session.

What We Stand For

Three commitments that don't change

🗣️

Clarity Over Convenience

A teacher who can't clearly explain a lesson in English isn't a good fit for our families, no matter how experienced they are in Arabic.

🛡️

Safety Isn't Optional

Background checks, session recording options, and a written child safety policy are part of the product, not a marketing add-on.

🌱

Realistic Pacing

We'd rather set an honest timeline for memorization and reading fluency than promise results we can't guarantee.

Our Teachers

Meet a few of the people teaching your child

Every teacher holds a real Al-Azhar certification, and is background-checked, interviewed for English fluency, and observed teaching before they join a live class roster.
